Everyone fights their own war, it may be inner, outer or both. Everyday you wake in the morning wondering who will win the battle. Will you be able to make it to the end of the day without feeling down, or will you go to bed revealed to close your eyes and leave this world, and enter an empty calm place somewhere. This world is consisted of two words, good and bad. Sometimes the bad conquers your life and conquers the good. It turns dark and sad, you stop caring about others and become selfish. You understand the strength a of friendship, and you tell yourself "Im going to be the bestest of friends" then you look to both sides, and see your standing alone. There is this person in your life that you must see everyday, you must fight them everyday, show them that you are better than them. But in the inside you are so tired of fighting, you just want to tell them "you won" and turn your back to them and start a new life. But you know that you can't. You ...

Risk

Anything can be worth the risk. If you have a goal to do, a question to ask, or a place to go. But you feel a heavy cloud of failure or embarrassment raining over you, don't give up. Your inner-self will always tell you, when it is right time to take risks. When you feel like tomorrow has no opportunities, and today is here and happening. Take a step forward. Reach the point where, if you take a step back you'll stumble. You have to keep in mind that, taking a risk will never hurt. If you are very eager to do something, but afraid to fail. Take the risk, do it. You'll have that weight off of you. If u succeed, you'll be happy. But if it doesn't go the way that you want it to, I want you to still be proud of yourself. That you took a step forward, and did what you wanted to. With each risk we take, we learn a lesson. And with our learned lesson. We know what to do next time. Aayisha Nur

Sudden Change kills the soul And this change has eaten me whole. Her absence but presence is intolerable, This new face of hers is horrible. Sudden change kills the soul, And this change has eaten me whole. She was never a stranger, But the most feared thing by her was danger. Sudden change kills the soul, And this change has eaten me whole. Why, oh why is there a valley between us, It is impossible for me and her to discuss. Sudden change kills the soul, And this change has eaten me whole. She is not the girl I once knew, The devil has changed her with his crew. Sudden change kills the soul, And this change has eaten me whole. No, I don't miss her. To me she is just a blur. But one day. She will miss me when I'm away, She will miss that friend, That was ready to defend. Oh, sudden change kills the soul And this change has eaten me whole. Aayisha Nur

Today my mother's friend showed up at our door heartbroken and in tears. It's been a week now and my mother's phone has been broken, so she hasn't checked her whats app and any messages. We never expect to be missed when we're absent. We sometimes disapear without any notice careless about who we might hurt, or how it may change the life of someone. My mother was living freely without her phone and social media. It never dawned on her that someone cared and worried about her until her friend that she hasn't seen in months appears at our door. Before leaving or going offline you should leave behind a note informing the people that you are alright. My mother should have left a message on her status saying that her phone was broken, it would have saved a shattered heart. Aayisha Nur
Culture bounds people together

With technology and globalization, culture and heritage is being ignored. People don't want to stick to traditional ways anymore, everyone wants to be modern. But is being modern really worth it? Culture and heritage is what brings the community together. For example the Native Americans, a tribe will get together to preform a spiritual dance. The people on the gala islands may all sit together and make baskets. Or going back before the Ottoman Empire in the Turkmen villages, the women would all gather and weave carpets. Sticking to tradition means sticking together. Tradition is not always a complicated task, it can be easy as cooking in a kitchen with a group of friends. Italian old ladies, all squeeze into a kitchen to make fresh pasta. But we modernized people may think "It's a waste of time, I can by it frozen." Why buy it frozen when you can make it by hand with your mother or sister in the kitchen and have it taste fresher and much bet...

The kindness has been flushed out She seems to be a hostage unable to shout. The beauty of her character has faded, Sorrow and relief within her is braided. A spark of candle light she requires to lead her way, Out of this horrid dismay. Deep inside the sunken place, I see a tear role down her face. Although it is what she desires, The good feels ghastly. Although it is what she she desires, Memories prey on her. Although it is what she desires, A sudden change scars the soul. Aayisha Nur

A classical Novel, " The Red Badge of Courage " By: Stephen Crane has the same theme of my current posts. It is about a young boy name Henry Fleming who fights his way through the civil war. He fights an internal war as well as an outer war. He doesn't just get hit by bullets, but he is scarred with something they used to call "a soldiers heart." He spends the war, fighting fear, and searching for his red badge of courage. When he finally earns it, and the war is over. You will never believe that the person who stepped out of the battlefield was the same on who stepped in. The book teaches you, to never betray and believe in yourself. Have patience with people and never give up. Aayisha Nur
